One of my coworkers sent me an Excel program that you plug your enlistment data into and it shows you a pie chart of your life-span-to-end-contract (using your birthday, the day you enlisted, and the day your contract is up) broken down into non-enlisted time (aka civilian), time served in the military so far, and time yet to go before the end of your contract. Of course, you don't have to use your actual contract date.. you can use what year you actually expect to get out. It also includes lots of other random facts and tidbits like how many years, months, weeks, days, even seconds remain in your contract as entered. That is, how many of each, not how many of all those combine. (Ie, 19.soandso years, OR so and so many months, etc, as opposed to 19 years 10 months 3 days, etc).
If I serve a 20 year total from last year's date of enlistment, I have 999 weeks left at this point.
