Went on a nice, long outing with a friend yesterday, which was so very nice. We went to the market, and then to one of the malls that most of the Westerners don't frequent. It doesn't have a lot of regular stores, and what it does have are vastly overpriced, but it does have a great "hypermarket" (supermarket) and a REALLY nice movie theater, which I went to for the first time yesterday.

We saw the X-Files movie. I don't know, I think I'm not really in love. It was like one of their off-week hour-long episodes. It was nice just hearing those music-notes for the first time in so long (knowing it's not a rerun, anyway) and seeing where the characters are now, but without the development of the in-between, it made it a little weirder just picking up all of a sudden. Like, when you call up old friends after 5 or 10 years of not seeing them, you actually play catch-up a bit, where with this it was like suddenly watching those friends' lives without talking to them directly. It was good, though. I don't know if I already missed the second Chronicles of Narnia movie, because if they did run it over here I didn't ever see an ad. So I'm hoping that one is suddenly playing somewhere. I totally missed Get Smart by about a few days and that's a shame. Maybe I can convince them to open a dollar-theater for late-run movies.

We also went to a nursury and I picked up some pots and seeds and soil, so I'm excited about that. I think it'll be really good for me.
