It has been either really hot or a sandstorm since I got back. The nice thing about the sandstorms is they provide a nice layer that blocks out or reflects some of the heat, so that it cools things off... obviously, there are not so nice aspects as well.

The news this morning said temps would range from 86 to 99 F today, so I figure while I'm outside in regular clothes that it'll be closer to 90 or 93, and windy, and sandy... which will feel relatively cold to me. It was about the same or a few degrees less yesterday, and I was comfortable in my long-sleeve tissue tee... anyone know where I can get more of those for cheap?

I'm coming up on four years now. Going to move up into the world of nice digital cameras as my gift to myself for making it so far, and going past the normal initial contract lengths (sticking with Nikon so I can share lenses with my current Nikon film SLR... but the point-and-shoot will be Canon because Nikon just seems to disappoint in picture quality on those, apparently) ... The package, though, is muchly funded as a graduation present from Mom, Mary, and Peter. Thank you! I'm looking forward to what I can post here once it's all set.

And now, since I have a few minutes before leaving for work, it's time to finally start catching up on some other blogs. I don't know HOW I've been so busy since getting back, but it's been a whirlwind and even when relaxing I feel busy... this weekend, I'll unpack and I'll really get caught up on the lives of all my friends and loved ones, and somehow fit in the other activities I've been roped into. I am SO glad it's a three-day weekend!
