Also, I worked nearly 14 hours today and have to be in again in under 10 hours. Although I worked over 14 hours sometimes in Jax, I hadn't yet worked this long here, so it's a new record for me... I had some good company in my customers at the end there, and got to hear some really nice British accents as I was leaving, but it was a long, long day. And tomorrow will be long, too, but I really hope it's not as long.

Oh! And an officer walked up to me in the chow line today and asked why I wear my hair so long (because it was down on Thursday and maybe because of how the bun I have to wear it in is gi-friggin-normous) and my response was basically "Why not?" ... he looked at me like I was crazy and walked away.... Come on, man, just say you like my hair and get it outta your system.. don't give me a hard time about it just 'cause men can't have their hair this long!

  1. I'm sorry you didnt pass your CLEP test. That really sucks. I'm sure you'll figure out a way to get that Associates degree soon! Congrats on the Chem grade. It always feels good to do well....
What are you doing for Christmas? Will you have any days off, or do they just ignore that holiday over there? :) Whatever you do, I hope you have fun!

  2. Yah, I'm gonna try to go to a nearby country to take the computer version, I found out. So that's great! And I can take the Euro History one there, so that I'll actually pass...

We have a tiny bit of extra time off, which is nice. I'm not really sure what I'm doing, but everyone is very inviting and warm, so I'm sure I'll feel perfectly at home. It REALLY doesn't feel like it at all, though. Plus I have to work on Friday, which is usually the church day here, but there IS a protestant service on base on Christmas eve, and maybe the church I want to check out will be doing something, too.....
