We had a special guest concert here last week, and I took the opportunity to practice my concert photography and test out my new camera. Once I get the lens designed for it, I think I'll have even better shots, but for now I'm using my film-camera lens and that's working just fine. That's a big part of why I stuck with Nikon for my foray into digital.




My favorite part of the shots I did get were all the funny moments and expressions. I don't know exactly what was happening here, but it looks like the bass player is doing something a little unexpected or perhaps stealing Scott's thunder. I just love the expression on his face.

In this one, he looks almost mean... like "you will hear me and you will hear me now!" This was during the first, acoustic portion of the several-song encore.

"ooooh, my head hurts!! .... These darn rock shows... kids these days listen to music that is SO LOUD!"

"Security!! Security!? Look right there, that guy did it!"
