In the hotel with my Mom and Uncle now, and the rest of the family arrives tomorrow. There will be a little photo-and-story sharing time later tomorrow, and the full day of activities on Sunday. I've already seen one of my favorite relations-by-marraige on this side of the extended family, my long-ago imported British great-Aunt. She was always the "crazy" one, the fun-loving one, who many of our relatives had a hard time understanding and my brothers and I so enjoyed seeing on our trips. I'll see lots more folks tomorrow and Sunday, but already it seems that they'll remember last trip (for Gramma's memorial service) as if it was yesterday, and only the length of my hair will be any indication of how much time has passed. Which is especially humorous considering that the last time I was here, my hair was about two inches all around and was mid-back and then shaved before its current past-my-waist length. Perhaps the time elapse as measured by my hair is deceptive.

Anyway, it was a very long drive here (I'm not used to driving for long periods anymore!) and I'm exhausted, so goodnight....
