I'm in Florida now, getting ready to go handle my Gramps' estate and then walk in my graduation ceremony, so it's a pretty eventful trip I've got planned. But it's been nice already, and just amazing seeing grass again! And breathing air that has pollen instead of dust... guess I can't get away from the filtration necessity, but I think even the pollen count has got to be a lot lower than all the dust... as my lungs were kind enough to point out on my way over when they decided it was a good time to clear themselves out.
Also, I figured, "gee, I'm going to Florida... it should be plenty warm there by this time, too, so I'll pack shorts and my Kashmir pashminas rather than a jacket".... and then I got here and it's comparatively freezing! The locals are all wearing jackets, so I know it's not just me, but I'm sure I'm still feeling the contrast more than they. It is amazing how the paper-thin little pashminas can keep me incredibly warm!!
That's my update..
Ok... I give up.....what's a pashminas?

It's a shawl (or, rather, the Pashmina Shawl I was wearing is a shawl, but apparently pashmina can refer to other garnments or just the fabric itself) that is incredibly thin (can be pulled through a wedding ring, despite being about two feet by five feet, maybe?) and soft and warm. They are quite expensive over here for quality ones, but there they are very inexpensive, and it's much easier to find EXACTLY what you want (the exact shade, or a pattern, or anything) and some gorgeous variety.

I've heard of them, just didn't know what they were called. You're right, they are expensive here.
